You've teased us for quite some time, Young Sinatra. Though it may seem a bit premature, I'm calling Welcome To Forever the Mixtape of the Year. What makes Welcome To Forever work so well is the utilization of the different Rattpack members (including producers 6ix and rapper C Dot Castro) as the mixtape is an unapologetic breath of fresh air that will have you hitting the replay button as you re-discover the numerous metaphors, entendres, and references spread throughout the tape. This time around, the XXL Freshman's brought a diverse crowd of guests: fellow classmates Trinidad James and Dizzy Wright, former freshman Kid Ink, and Jhene Aiko of Cocaine 80's fame. Instead of creating a tape with the same style song after song, the Maryland rapper proves he can't be pigeonholed to a single genre by harnessing a melting pot of musical styles, including late night party tunes and self-reflective slow jams. His latest mixtape, Young Sinatra: Welcome To Forever, is arguably his best work yet, showcasing not only his reputation for spitting thought-provoking lyrics, but also his skill as a producer. Let's cut to the chase, if you haven't heard of Logic by now, you've been sleeping on some fantastic talent. Logic is a MC who's constantly raising the bar with his talents and exponentially improving his craft between projects.
